The NDIS funds disability-related health supports. If a nursing task is directly related to your disability, it is funded by the NDIS. General health needs are the responsibility of the health system (Medicare).

If the care required is clinical or complex in nature (e.g., managing a ventilator, complex bowel care), it must be delivered by a qualified nurse.
